On the 25th anniversary of Toshiba this year, besides launching w100 Libretto mini-notebook PCs, the company also launched a Protégé R700 notebook. Notebook with 13 inches screens are claimed as the thinnest ultraportabel notebook.
Toshiba Singapore Computer Systems Division (CSD) introduced the Protégé R700 notebook which has a thickness of less than 19 millimeters and weights ranging from 1.3 kilograms. This notebook is also equipped with new cooling airflow technology to cool the heated components.

Hiyama also explain that the notebook is equipped with Windows 7 operating system, the hard drive is 500 GB or 512 GB solid state drive, ultra-fast DDR3 4GB RAM.
