I purchased the Motorola Milestone when it first arrived in the UK after hearing so many good things about the Droid, which is the phone the Milestone is based on. I’ve also been intrigued about the Android operating system as a whole as it seems to be the only thing that has been able to rival the Apple phone in recent years. So here is a little Milestone review to share with you based on my experiences with it.
Clearly many people had the same idea, as when it first came out in the UK I was at work, and within 3 hours every single phone that the carrying store had in stock was sold! I had to wait a little while to get my hands on one, but luckily now there’s more than enough of the Milestone in supply if you’re thinking about picking one up.
I’ve had mine for two months now, and I’ve been really impressed by both the speed and the applications the phone has available. I got the black design which looks smart and fits nicely into my pocket. It’s pretty angular for a modern phone which I guess some people might not like, but I think that sets it apart from the all the other smart phones that look like they are trying a little too hard to be an iPhone clone!
It’s got a good little camera on it as well, which I’m surprised about. Smart phones aren’t usually known for the quality of the camera but this one can shoot some pretty good pictures and has a pretty wide array of options. It’s not as good as my standalone digital camera, but it’s certainly better than the camera in any other smart phone I’ve tried and its fast enough to take quick pictures if something happens in a hurry!
There’s even mutlitouch for when you’re browsing the net which is such a useful tool that I don’t think I could ever go back to using a phone that doesn’t have it, allowing you to quickly browse websites and zoom in and out of different sections of a page.
Within my Motorola Milestone review I have given the results of my experience with the Milestone handset has been very positive and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a durable and feature rich smart phone.
